Maui 2017: Day 3
I don't know what happened to day 3, and it's already the end of day 4. This is the first trip Heidi and I have taken here by ourselves since 2009. I guess that when you don't have a plan, and just let days unfold, you lose track of them. Maybe that's the way vacation is supposed to be. To kind of lose yourself in the moment. That's kind of difficult when you're planning for others. I'm just used to it, and enjoyed it. I just want to share what we've found here with as many people as possible. In order to make the most our always too short time here, I felt a plan was a necessity (with breaks built in). I think I tried too hard. This trip is sort of an awakening. I don't know if I'm being more reflective because it's just Heidi and I, or my recent retirement. In any event, I'm liking the new flow. Just let it happen. We've spent the last two days just beaching and snorkeling wherever. No need to go very far. Maybe we'll take a ride somewhere a little farther tomorrow, maybe not. It's whatever the moment brings.
